Good governance is

fundamental to our golf club

The Club is run by an elected Board which has the responsibility to make decisions that will benefit the members and ensure a sustainable future for the club. Having good governance in place (processes, systems and practices) will help to ensure accountability of the Board and transparency of its actions to the membership. It will focus on governance practices to strive to keep ahead of the curve and to be in a strong position to face the ever-changing challenges that emerge, including shifts in changes to local government policies, statutory obligations and evolving communications platforms maintaining compliance and reducing its risk levels. Excellent governance can be defined as:

Putting in place policies, procedures and processes to meet legal requirements. Taking responsibility for setting our own standards, driving our own improvement. Continually developing the culture of our Club.
