...or in Manx gaelic Rhumsaa - garlic valley, is a coastal town in the Isle of Man, the Island's second largest.
The golf course lies in the south of the town nestling under the shelter of North Barrule, in a residential area a five minute walk to the centre.

The Celts, first settlers, were followed by the Vikings, evidence of their influences on the isle visible to this day. One is in the Manx Language and although not in general use, is taught in schools, with an increase in speakers.
